Above - Barred Ohiki. Photo Courtesy of Jerry Kinder. This pair was bred by Toni-Marie Astin and Mr. Kinder is furthering the work with this color. These are some examples of this new color for the breed. They need some refining in type and ear lobe color, but are showing great promise.

 

Below is a gallery of some superb work by Toni-Marie Astin. Mrs. Astin has been working for several years to increase vigor and create new colors in the Ohiki. These birds below represent some of her efforts in this endeavor. She is now only working on minor traits such as setting the lobe color and body type in a few birds.
